7, 2012: "Kentucky and Tennessee History and Genealogy Research", Shelley McFadden
The States of Kentucky and Tennessee have been working hard to help genealogists learn more about their history and the people who help shape their states. We often overlook the importance of Kentucky and Tennessee when searching for our family ancestors. Many early travelers passed through these states as they moved North, South or West after the Revolutionary War. We will look at their history and the importance of their location, plus what resources are available to the home researcher.
Shelley McFadden, holds a BFA in Fine Arts from the University of Hawaii and is a retired RN from Community Hospital of the Monterey Penninsula. She has worked on and off for 30 years on her family genealogy. Her focus is on New England, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, North and South Carolina, Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee.
